Newcastle United are reportedly likely to face competition from Inter Milan for Sampdoria midfielder Dennis Praet this summer.
The Magpies have apparently reignited their interest in signing the Belgian international from Sampdoria in the summer transfer window but if Calciomercato are to be believed, Inter will also pursue the midfielder.
Praet has not been in top form for his side this season but has still done enough to impress plenty of clubs across Europe. Newcastle wanted to sign the ex-Anderlecht star last summer and don’t appear to have been deterred in their interest.
Sampdoria regard Praet as a hugely important player for the club and are therefore likely to demand a premium for the playmaker this summer should they welcome offers from elsewhere.
Newcastle are likely to need plenty of new reinforcements ahead of next season as Rafa Benitez aims to help the club consolidate their status in the Premier League.
