Newcastle United are ready to reignite their interest in Sampdoria midfielder Dennis Praet, according to reports from Italy.
The Magpies were heavily linked with a swoop for the Belgian playmaker in the summer transfer window but failed to land him despite their efforts. Praet has enjoyed a good season with Sampdoria and it seems Newcastle are once again keen.
Rafa Benitez has often been touted as an admirer of Praet and it seems he remains keen to land a central attacking midfielder this summer after his failed attempts in the summer and in the January transfer window.

The Magpies appear to have secured their Premier League safety and they will be desperate to build on a strong first season back in the top flight.
Praet, 23, has long been linked with a move to the Premier League but Sampdoria will not allow him to leave unless a deal is agreed on their terms. It is, in fact, stated that the Serie A side will demand a sum upwards of €26 million for his signature in the summer.
