# Tino Livramento Returns as Newcastle United Handed £83 Million Training Boost

Newcastle United are set to welcome back Tino Livramento and Jacob Ramsey. However, head coach Matthias Jaissle has made it clear he will not rush either player’s return.

Jaissle revealed in his pre-match press conference that the player is on the verge of returning. Livramento has been out for a month with a muscle injury. The England full-back felt pain in training the day before the Hull City match. He has since missed England’s Nations League games.

The £40m man has been a huge miss for Newcastle since they appointed their new German boss in the summer. They have struggled to kickstart their Premier League campaign. The England team has also felt the loss of his services. It was without him for the autumn Nations League campaign.

## **Jaissle Urges Caution**

Jaissle was cautious about the comments on Livramento, noting that the club must be careful not to rush in due to the player’s injury history. The plan will be to slowly bring the forward back into the game, bit by bit, in the coming weeks.

The 23-year-old striker has a history of injuries, plagued by knee and hamstring woes, which has made Newcastle’s doctors wary.

Jacob Ramsey, signed from Aston Villa for £43m, has also been sidelined. The midfielder suffered a thigh injury in the warm-up against Leeds United last month. He has been seen in light training. Jaissle said Ramsey’s progress was much better. He hopes to see him back in partial training next week.

He added that he saw a similarity between Ramsey and Anthony Elanga, who have both been out for a while and could be ready to get back to some sort of training soon.

However, Sky Sports reporter Keith Downie has reported that Ramsey, Livramento and Elanga will all miss this weekend’s clash with Aston Villa. The match at St James’ Park comes at a time when pressure is building on Jaissle. His side sit 11th in the Premier League with eight points from six games.

## **Young Squad Must Learn Fast**

Speaking after the 4-1 defeat at Coventry City, Jaissle reiterated that he is working with a young squad. He said time is needed. He said the team made too many individual mistakes. These must be avoided; otherwise, you get punished in this league.

He added that even though the squad is young, they need to learn fast. That applies both as individuals and as a group. Newcastle’s coaching staff believe the return of experienced players like Livramento and Ramsey will help provide guidance. Younger squad members need that during difficult periods.

For now, Newcastle must navigate the Aston Villa test without their returning stars. The focus remains on steady progress rather than quick fixes, with Jaissle emphasising patience at every turn. The £83m duo of Livramento and Ramsey represent a significant boost when fully fit, but Newcastle fans will have to wait a little longer to see them back in competitive action.
