Newcastle United eye “ambitious” January transfer window

Newcastle United will look to be “ambitious” throughout the fast-approaching winter transfer window.

That is according to transfer expert Dean Jones, who has informed GIVEMESPORT of the Tyneside club’s desires to bring in a couple of squad-bolstering new recruits in January.

What’s the word?

The journalist claims that he would not be shocked if the Magpies made two ambitious signings in the upcoming transfer window.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Jones said: “I see no reason why it won’t continue. Newcastle will look to be ambitious in the January transfer window. I don’t think they’ll go mad, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they bring in one or two.”

The right way

The way in which Newcastle have handled their enormous wealth under PIF’s ownership is admirable and demonstrates that the club are in safe hands as they look to build towards long-term sustained success.

Although they could theoretically snap up elite level talent with their seemingly limitless wealth, they have stuck to a logical, low-risk strategy which has seen Alexander Isak emerge as the most expensive coup of their £122m summer spend – and that was after the foundations of the squad had already been put in place.

Furthermore, the club’s hierarchy are very much conscious of wanting to abide by Financial Fair Play regulations so that they are not met with punishment further down the line. So far, it seems to be a case of utilising their spending power to good effect while still keeping it within control.

It’s a promising time for Newcastle as they look to bolster the squad further in the January transfer window amid a prosperous Premier League campaign which currently sees them occupy a Champions League berth.
