Newcastle United aren’t short of options in attack with Joelinton, Callum Wilson, Allan Saint-Maximin and Dwight Gayle at their disposal, but Joelinton has been playing in midfield of late, Saint-Maximin is more of a natural winger and Gayle is surplus to requirements, so the Magpies could do with more firepower.
Newcastle have scored just 18 goals in 17 Premier League games this season and have netted one or less in their last five, so a lot of strikers would improve their fortunes. Fans on social media aren’t convinced, however, as the 21-year-old is on a lot of clubs’ radar and won’t want to join a side sitting in the relegation zone if he can go to a club in Europe. Newcastle are 19th in the Premier League and three points from safety while having played a game more than their relegation rivals, so they’re not in good shape.
The Magpies are now one of the richest clubs in Europe which is sure to sway some players, but Vlahovic has scored 15 goals in 17 Serie A games this season, so he’s sure to have better offers than Newcastle.
