Andy Carroll left Newcastle United in July after his contract expired, but he’s still a free agent three months into the season. The 32-year-old isn’t letting the situation get him down if his Instagram is anything to go by.
Carroll posted a series of pictures of his wife and kids, wishing the former a happy birthday while enjoying the extra family time he’s been afforded this season.

Former Newcastle manager Steve Bruce said he let Carroll leave to get first-team football elsewhere, but it remains to be seen where he’ll end up. The ex-England international has struggled for form and fitness in recent years, so he’s not going to be an attractive proposition.
There is the chance a club could sign Carroll on a pay-as-you-play deal, but his next move is likely to be the last of his career. The 32-year-old isn’t in a rush to find a new club as he’s happy to be with family, but fans will no doubt hope he can have a successful end to his career.
It would be a shame if Carroll bowed out early after falling out of favour at the top level.
