# Willock posts picture on Instagram and hails brother Chris

Newcastle are hoping to sign Joe Willock from Arsenal this summer, but the 21-year-old is being calm about the speculation if his [Instagram story](https://www.instagram.com/stories/joewillock/2637158280777167960/) is anything to go by.

Willock posted a picture of himself training with the Gunners on Tuesday morning and hailed his brother Chris who plays for Queens Park Rangers.

Joe has made [78 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joe-willock/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/340329) in all competitions for Arsenal since rising through the youth ranks to the first-team, scoring 11 goals with four assists. He’s fallen down the pecking order under Mikel Arteta, however, and finds Thomas Partey, Granit Xhaka, Mohamed Elneny, new-boy Sambi Lokonga and Lucas Torreira standing in his way of getting playing time.

As for Chris, the 23-year-old left Arsenal in 2017 for Benfica and spent three years in Portugal before returning to England permanently. Willock has made [39 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/chris-willock/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/314341) across the board for QPR and has two years remaining on his contract.

He looks set to stay in London, but his brother Joe is heading for Newcastle on a permanent basis after impressing on loan the previous season.
