The Premier League season has come to an end, but the campaign isn’t over for Emil Krafth. The 26-year-old was named in Sweden’s 26-man squad for this summer’s European Championships and has a group game on Monday evening to prepare for.
Krafth has kept fans updated on social media with his movements, posting a picture on his Instagram stories of some players from the national team while paying tribute to Christian Eriksen who suffered a cardiac arrest in Denmark’s defeat to Finland on Saturday.

Krafth joined Newcastle from Amiens SC in 2019 and has gone on to make 40 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal with one assist. The Swedish international made 20 appearances across the board last season.
Although Krafth didn’t always command a starting place at club level, he’s remained a regular in the national team throughout, featuring in five of their last six outings.
Sweden lock horns with Spain at the Estadio de La Cartuja on Monday night and Krafth should start at right-back. Poland and Slovakia are the other two teams in Group E, so the Swedes have a chance of qualifying.
