Allan Saint-Maximin has been one of the few Newcastle players during Steve Bruce’s tenure to have genuinely excited the fan base and provided an attacking spark.
The French winger has been an integral figure at St James’ Park since he made the move from Nice in the summer of 2019, and his performances have been rewarded with a new six-year deal last month which could keep him at Newcastle for the peak of his career.
