Newcastle star man Allan Saint-Maximin looks set to be rewarded for his first 18 months form with a new contract, according to Sportsmail.
The 23-year old who signed for the Magpies from Nice in August 2019 for just over £16m, still has five years on his existing contract.
However, the club are likely to be keen to tie their man down after an impressive first season on the Tyne saw Saint-Maximin earn plenty of praise and with it, some speculation his future may lie elsewhere.
With the major European transfer window now closed the Frenchman will be strutting his flamboyant stuff at St James’ Park for some time to come yet.
The possibility of a new deal on the horizon should help to secure the winger’s long term future with the club as well.
Saint-Maximin, who scored three times and made five assists last season, has also started the new term in form scoring once in his first three appearances (Transfermarkt).

Tieing down a player of Saint-Maximin’s ability and potential is a huge move from the club who need to retain players of his quality if Newcastle are going to return back to the upper echelons of the Premier League.
Should Saint-Maximin continue the levels of performance he has shown in his short time in England to date, there seems no doubt some of Europe’s elite will eventually come calling.
A new deal should at the very least ensure the club are in a position to either keep their man or land a premium price should the time come.
