Wolves are eyeing Newcastle winger Allan Saint-Maximin as they anticipate summer interest in Adama Traore, according to Mail Online.
The 24-year old speedster has impressed for Nuno’s side this season, and with clubs such as Real Madrid and Barcelona supposedly considering a summer move for Traore, the Midlands club have been considering potential replacements.
Newcastle winger Saint-Maximin has emerged as one such option, according to Mail Online, with the 22-year old having impressed for the Magpies this season.
Newcastle paid £16.5million to sign the Frenchman from Lille in the summer, and while he has suffered a stunted start to life in the Premier League, playing just 16 time due to injury issues, he has largely impressed.
Having tied Saint-Maximin to a six-year contract, Newcastle would likely be reluctant to sell the forward, should Wolves come calling.

Despite having scored just once in the Premier League this season, Saint-Maximin, who is rated at £22.5m by Transfermarkt, has made enough of an impact in our view for the Magpies that it would be absurd if Newcastle allowed him to leave the club in the summer.
Wolves have developed and improved year on year after being promoted to the Premier League at the end of the 2017/18 season, and Saint-Maximin has all of the attributes to suggest that he could excel in Nuno’s fast-paced playing style.
However, unless a side with Champions League football comes in for Saint-Maximin, and with a sizeable offer, we feel as if the Magpies should refuse to entertain offers for their star asset.
The Frenchman has been described as an “unpredictable yet exciting element” for the Magpies this season, as well as having been compared to Brazilian icon Ronaldinho, and Bruce must make sure that the wide man’s future remains on Tyneside.
