Several Newcastle fans have once again lauded Under-23s striker Tom Allan, with some calling for him to get a chance in the first team.
The 20-year forward scored a brace for the club’s Under-23s side against Scunthorpe Under-23s in the Premier League Cup on Friday, with the young Magpies winning 6-2.
This isn’t the first time that Allan has impressed this season, with Newcastle fans have called for Steve Bruce to give him a shot at senior level in the past.
With Joelinton struggling to impress on Tyneside, and with Andy Carroll, Yoshinori Muto and Dwight Gayle having scored zero Premier League goals between them, the idea of handing Allan his senior debut has been floated on social media.
Following his latest exploits for the Under-23s, a number of fans have once again praised his goalscoring achievements, calling on Newcastle to hand the talented young forward a chance to impress in the Premier League.
