Several Newcastle fans have expressed their disinterest in seeing the club re-sign forward Adam Armstrong in the summer.
LancsLive reported earlier this week that the Magpies were interested in re-signing the Blackburn forward, whom they sold to the Championship side in 2018.
Armstrong has impressed for Blackburn this season, having scored nine goals and assisted six in 33 league games, form that has sparked interest from a number of Premier League clubs, according to LancsLive.
The report also claims that should Newcastle wish to sign the 23-year old, they can expect to be made to pay an eight-figure fee, with Blackburn unwilling to listen to offers under their valuation as they are under no pressure to sell.
Reacting to the transfer speculation on social media, a number of Magpies supporters were not overly keen to see Armstrong return to St James’ Park, deeming him not at the level needed in the Premier League.
