# Newcastle fans react as Milan duo consider moves to sign Longstaff

Italian duo Inter and AC Milan are both ready to make moves to sign Matty Longstaff on a pre-contract agreement.

Longstaff is out of contract in June and according to [The Times](https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/milan-giants-chase-newcastles-matty-longstaff-9vh7w62lz?wgu=270525_54264_15804675629231_1ce3b580dc&wgexpiry=1588243562&utm_source=planit&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_content=22278), will be free to discuss terms with teams from abroad as of tomorrow.

After breaking into the first-team squad this season, Longstaff has become a favourite with some [supporters](https://tbrfootball.com/newcastle-fans-hail-matty-longstaff-for-his-performance-against-rochdale/). He also put in a Man of the Match performance against Manchester United back in October ([WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1376040/Live/England-Premier-League-2019-2020-Newcastle-United-Manchester-United)) – scoring in [both](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/382434/Show/Matthew-Longstaff) games aginst Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
