Borussia Dortmund’s Paco Alcacer is being heavily linked with a move to join Newcastle but supporters are unsure if a potential deal for the striker is realistic.
According to the Northern Echo, Newcastle will rival Tottenham in a move to sign the Spanish forward.
Both clubs are reportedly in the market for a new striker this month, while the Guardian claims there is also interest in Spain from Valencia.
Alcacer has started just six league games for Dortmund this season and has fallen out of favour with manager Lucien Favre.
The Echo reports that the player wants regular game time during the second half of the campaign to improve his chances of making Spain’s squad for the European Championships this summer.
With an impressive scoring record in Germany, these Newcastle fans on social media can see why he might be a great signing for the club but are understandably reluctant to buy into any of the transfer rumours just yet.
