# Tottenham fans desperate for Danny Rose to join Newcastle

Newcastle are considering making a loan move for Tottenham left-back Danny Rose.

And the news has gone down very well with several Spurs supporters on social media.

According to [The Telegraph](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2020/01/21/mike-mcgraths-transfer-notebook-newcastle-may-offer-danny-rose/), the Magpies are weighing up a temporary move for the England international following [season-ending injuries to both Paul Dummett and Jetro Willems in recent weeks](https://www.nufc.co.uk/news/latest-news/bruce-confirms-willems-and-dummett-set-to-miss-rest-of-the-season/).

Dummett suffered a tendon injury in his leg against Wolves, while Willems ruptured his ACL in the win over Chelsea.

[Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11675/11915258/danny-rose-six-premier-league-clubs-interested-in-signing-the-spurs-defender) claim that Rose is a man in demand, with six top-flight sides interested in the 29-year-old’s services.

Rose has only [started one game under Jose Mourinho](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/danny-rose/leistungsdaten/spieler/50174) since he took over and was left out of the Spurs squad for the games against Watford and Norwich.

The left-back spent the 2012/13 season out on loan at Newcastle’s rivals Sunderland, making [30 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/danny-rose/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/50174) under Martin O’Neill and Paolo Di Canio.

And when a possible St James’ Park switch made its way across social media on Tuesday, these Tottenham fans were desperate for a deal to go through.
