# Newcastle fans react as Joelinton has afternoon to forget against Rochdale

Newcastle were poor as Rochdale managed to hold the Magpies to a draw at Spotland, taking them to a FA Cup Third Round replay.

Despite Almiron putting them ahead, Newcastle couldn’t hold on with Rochdale managed a second-half fightback to level the game.

It was a disappointing day for Newcastle, but many fans took aim at striker Joelinton, with the Brazilian being especially poor in the draw.

### Read Newcastle’s verdict

Joelinton’s Newcastle career is slowly turning into a nightmare.

He certainly doesn’t look like the man to fire the goals in for Steve Bruce’s side, meaning that a striker may need to be signed in January.

Based off today, the £40 million they paid is looking like a huge waste of money.
