Would he be a good signing for Newcastle?
He has been a regular for Strasbourg in Ligue 1 and was a France under-21 international until earlier this year, which suggests that he has plenty of promise. However, Newcastle have plenty of options in the middle of the park and he could find it hard to break into the team.
With Jonjo Shelvey, Matty and Sean Longstaff, Isaac Hayden and Ki all in the squad, Newcastle appear to be well stocked in the midfield department. However, if Newcastle believe that he could add extra quality and start in the side, it is a deal that we could see go ahead in the January window.
Although, Newcastle’s lack of goalscoring threat needs to also be addressed in January. Newcastle have scored just six goals in 10 Premier League games and could do with an attacking midfielder or another striker to bolster Bruce’s options.
