The FA have officially confirmed that Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff will serve a three-match ban following his red card against Wolves.
Longstaff was sent off during Newcastle’s 1-1 draw with Wolves for a poor challenge on midfielder Ruben Neves in the second-half.

As much as some Newcastle fans want to protest against the decision, it was reckless and dangerous from Longstaff as his studs went into Neves’ shins on the follow-through from his challenge. It was a deserved red card and a three-match ban is the punishment, there should be no qualms about that.
Isaac Hayden’s red card was very similar in that he initially won the ball before catching his man after. Both reds were deserved and Hayden could now take his place back in the team with Sean Longstaff suspended for the trip to West Ham this weekend in the Premier League.
