Newcastle kept themselves out of the bottom three over the weekend as they held Wolves to a 1-1 draw at St. James’ Park.
Jamaal Lascelles opened the scoring with a powerful header in the first-half, only for Jonny to level for Wolves and ensure that both teams walked away with a point.
There was one lovely moment during the match as a ballboy encouraged Miguel Almiron to keep going after he ran the ball out of play.

It is great to see a supporter having faith in the players and trying to spur them on to improve during the game. Unfortunately, nothing seems to be working for Almiron at the moment. He has now gone 20 games for Newcastle without registering a goal or an assist since his January move from Atlanta.
He needs to improve but is showing no signs of doing so and could benefit from a spell on the sidelines in order to take him out of the firing line. Maybe Steve Bruce could give Christian Atsu another run of games in the team to take the pressure off Almiron.
