READ NEWCASTLE VERDICT
Despite being 34, Cisse has been in terrific form in Turkey. He has scored nine goals in nine appearances for Alanyaspor, after bagging 16 goals in 26 games last term for the club.
He clearly still has something to offer, but whether he is better than Newcastle’s current options is another question. He has not played in any of Europe’s top five leagues since the 2015/16 campaign, when he scored three goals in 21 Premier League games for Newcastle.
