Newcastle manager Steve Bruce has claimed that forward Dwight Gayle is knocking on the door for a start ahead of the clash with Wolves.
Joelinton has scored one goal in nine games and Gayle is not back in contention after an injury over the summer.

These Newcastle fans had their say on whether or not he should start…
Goal threat…
Twitter: @lee_ryder I’d start him. We need some kind of goal threat & Jo doesn’t offer it. ASM & Miggy either side of him #nufc (@Wig82)
Nothing to lose…
Twitter: @lee_ryder I would put him in over Joelinton. We have nothing to lose (@David_B_HU)

Two up top?
Twitter: @David_B_HU @lee_ryder A was thinking two up top cause wolves always play two up top Gayle with the pace and Joelinton can be the target man (@SeanMullin2)
Ringing the bell…

There is no doubting that Joelinton is struggling to adapt to life in the Premier League this season. The striker has scored just once in nine league matches for the club, which simply is not good enough. Bringing Gayle in to replace or play alongside him could give Newcastle some added quality at the top end of the pitch as they look to jump out of the bottom three.
Gayle scored 23 goals for West Brom last season in the Championship but is unproven when it comes to score regularly in the top-flight. Bruce, however, needs to give him a chance in order to see if he does have what it takes.
