Bruce says that he is a “very, very good” goalkeeper and that they have unearthed a gem, as no one had heard of him before he joined.

Dubravka has been one of Newcastle’s most consistent players over the last 18 months, with his solid displays between the sticks in the Premier League. His impressive reflexes has kept Newcastle in many games and earned him 14 clean sheets since the start of last season.
The shot-stopper is still at a good age for a goalkeeper, at 30, which means a six-year deal should see him out for the rest of his career – certainly his prime years.
