Although Dubravka is now in his 30’s, a long-term deal for a goalkeeper is still good business at that age. Dubravka could easily be Newcastle’s number one for the next six years if he is able to maintain the form he has produced for the last 18 months on Tyneside.
Steve Bruce will surely be delighted to tie down one of his best players to a new deal, hopefully tempting more to follow suit in the coming weeks. The likes of Fabian Schar, Isaac Hayden and the Longstaff brothers have been linked with potential new contracts this season.
