Newcastle midfielder Matt Ritchie is poised to return from injury this weekend as they face Wolves on Sunday.
According to The Shields Gazette, Ritchie will be in the squad as he recovers from a knock which has kept him out since their League Cup clash with Leicester in August.
Ritchie had surgery on his injury earlier this month and could already be about to play in the Premier League again.

Should he start?
If he is able to, yes. Miguel Almiron, quite simply, has not been good enough in an attacking sense this season. The former Atlanta man has zero goals and zero assists in the Premier League since January, so it could be time for him to drop to the bench and give Ritchie the chance to play in a more attacking position – rather than at left-back.
Ritchie is adept at getting the ball out of his feet and delivering crosses into the box, which means that he could thrive if played out on the wing. He could be able to get quick crosses into the area for Joelinton to get on the end of – as he looks to improve his own record after one goal in nine games.
