These Newcastle fans react to performance of Longstaff brothers
Newcastle were left frustrated as they lost 1-0 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, sending them back into the bottom three.
Marcos Alonso scored the only goal of the game, in the second-half, as Newcastle failed to register a single shot on target.
Chronicle journalist Lee Ryder suggested after the game that Matty and Sean Longstaff held their own again in midfield.

It was always going to be tough for both of them, away to one of the form sides in the division. Chelsea dominated the game, demonstrating control in the middle of the park through Jorginho – who Sean and Matty were unable to get anywhere near.
Both of them will learn from this experience and use it to develop their game and make sure that they do not make the same mistakes again. The next time Newcastle face a top side away they could call upon this performance to see what they can do differently to cope with players of a higher quality.
