Chelsea missing one of their best players for Newcastle’s visit can only be seen as a positive for Steve Bruce’s side. It boosts Newcastle’s chances of picking up a result, as it weakens Chelsea’s team and upsets the balance of their midfield from recent games.

Newcastle will need to take advantage and make sure the likes of Miguel Almiron and Allan Saint-Maximin pick up the pockets of space between the midfield and defence for Chelsea in the positions Kante would usually occupy. If Newcastle can exploit these areas, they could find some joy against Frank Lampard’s side.
