Newcastle showed incredible character to come away with the three points against Manchester United last time out, considering they lost 5-0 to Leicester the week before.
If they can come out firing with the same energy and solidarity against Chelsea, there is no reason why Steve Bruce’s side are unable to get a result. Chelsea, however, have been in good form and Newcastle will need to keep the likes of Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount quiet if they are to pick up at least a point.
Bruce will be hoping that the Longstaff brothers can continue their excellent partnership in central midfield, with Isaac Hayden still out suspended. Joelinton, who has one goal in eight games, could finally make his mark, as well.
