Newcastle are sitting just above the bottom three after a tricky start to the 2019/20 Premier League season.
Steve Bruce’s side have won just two of their eight league matches and were in the bottom three before their win over Manchester United in their last match.
Newcastle’s two wins have both come against “top six” sides, with Bruce picking up three points against Tottenham and Manchester United. Both were 1-0 wins, with Joelinton and Matty Longstaff scoring the goals.
After the tough start, it is only natural that Newcastle are being linked with potential signings to improve their squad in the January transfer window. Newcastle will want to add to their team in order to avoid relegation back down to the second tier.
