Newcastle have had a tough start to the Premier League season, as we head out of the second international break of the campaign.
Steve Bruce’s men have played eight league games so far and currently sit 16th in the table, just above the drop zone. Newcastle lifted themselves out of the bottom three in their last game, as they beat Manchester United 1-0 at St. James’ Park.
Newcastle have only won two games this season, both coming against the “big six” in the form of Manchester United and Tottenham – both 1-0 wins.
They have also drawn with Brighton and Watford, as well as losing to Norwich, Arsenal, Leicester and Liverpool.
Despite some poor results, and performances, Newcastle can take solace in the fact that they are not in the bottom three – for now – and have had some standout performers.
