Newcastle United centre-back Fabian Schar has revealed that he is “very happy” at the club.
The Swiss international has been linked with a move away from the club but he has put to bed any speculation that he is currently unsettled at St James’ Park.

When speaking to Swiss publication Neue Zurcher Zeitung, as reported on the Shields Gazette, Schar said:
At the moment I am very happy. I am relatively easy to satisfy: If it is a good club, I am happy. Last summer was the first in a couple of years that I did not have to think about where to play now and what happens next and that felt good.
I stopped doing things like that, I have experienced too much for that. I know how fast everything can change. You never know what happens.
Great news for Newcastle?

Of course. This is brilliant news for the Magpies because Schar has been one of their most consistent performers.
He has established a good partnership with Jamaal Lascelles and Schar has a deep-rooted passion for the club.
He’s also capable of scoring a wonder goal out of nowhere, which could come in handy for the Toon Army this season in their bid to avoid relegation.
