Newcastle can sign Eintracht Frankfurt defender Jetro Willems for a fee of under £6m next summer upon the end of his loan spell with the club.
According to Chronicle journalist Mark Douglas, the deal has already been agreed with Frankfurt should Newcastle decided to sign him permanently.
Willems joined Newcastle on a season-long loan deal in the summer and has scored once in the Premier League so far.

Would this be a bargain?

Yes. Willems has shown plenty of promise since joining the club on loan and clearly has more to offer as a wing-back. He has quick feet and a turn of pace that is useful on the counter-attack. His assist for Matty Longstaff against Manchester United illustrated that perfectly, as he was able to sprint up the pitch before cutting back and laying the ball off for the youngster to strike.
If he can continue to turn in good performances for Steve Bruce’s side this season then around £6m would be an incredible price for the Dutchman. With some of the fees you see in the Premier League these days, it could certainly be considered a bargain price when you consider Willems’ experience in the Bundesliga and Holland.
