Newcastle are eyeing up a potential swoop for Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir in the next transfer window.
According to Turkish outlet 61Saat, Newcastle, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham are all interested in the shot-stopper.
The report claims that Trabzonspor want around £17m for the Turkish international, who is clearly attracting interest from plenty of clubs.

Where would he fit in at Newcastle?

Well, nowhere. There is no urgent need for Newcastle to sign a new number one, with the shirt firmly in the hands of Martin Dubravka, who has been one of the club’s top performers over the last 18 months.
The only way he could possibly fit in is if Dubravka leaves the club in one of the next two transfer windows. However, there have been no reports to suggest that he will be leaving Tyneside anytime soon, which makes the link to Cakir seem all too confusing.
Cakir has failed to keep a single clean sheet for Trabzonspor this season, but must be impressing to be linked with the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham. At £17m, though, it seems too steep for Newcastle given that they already have a reliable number one on their books.
