Newcastle are reportedly continuing to monitor Hull City midfielder Jarrod Bowen ahead of the January transfer window.
According to The Chronicle, Bowen has been on Newcastle’s radar for quite some time and the club are looking to sign an attacking midfielder.
The report claims that Newcastle are keeping close tabs on the Championship in their pursuit of targets for January.

Should they sign him?

Yes. Newcastle need more of a goalscoring threat in attacking midfield and that is exactly what Bowen would be. The Englishman can play through the middle or on the right and has scored 40 league goals for Hull since the start of the 2017/18 campaign.
He has found the net four times in the Championship for Hull this season, whilst Miguel Almiron has yet to score for Newcastle since joining in January.
Newcastle have a clear goalscoring problem, with just five goals scored in eight games so far. Bringing in a player with Bowen’s finishing ability from midfield could be just what they need to avoid relegation back down to the second tier.
The report, however, does not indicate how much Hull will be willing to let Bowen go for. This could be a potential issue if they demand silly money for the winger.
