Is this a huge boost for the club?

Absolutely. They are both massive players for Newcastle and ones that the club should be looking to build the team around in the coming years.
Hayden is only 24 and Dubravka, at 30, still has plenty of years left as a goalkeeper, which means that they can be mainstays in Steve Bruce’s side for many seasons to come.
Tying them both down to long-term deals would be a big coup, considering that their performances could potentially attract interest from other clubs if Newcastle continue to languish down the bottom of the table and they stand out.
Newcastle need to keep hold of their best players if they want to progress as a club. Are Dubravka and Hayden two of their best players? Yes. This means that securing their futures would be an excellent move by Newcastle.
