Newcastle striker Dwight Gayle has returned to training ahead of the club’s clash with Manchester United this weekend.
Gayle has been out since pre-season with a muscle injury, but could now make a return to action on Sunday at St. James’ Park.

Should Gayle start on Sunday?
If fit enough, yes. The forward could be the perfect foil for Joelinton up front, alleviating the issues of the Brazilian cutting an isolated figure so far this season.
Joelinton has endured a dearth of support in the final third in the Premier League, with Miguel Almiron struggling for form himself. The introduction of Gayle into the side, with his runs in behind and clinical finishing, could be just the change Newcastle need to ignite their attacking spark.
