Has Dubravka been disappointing this season?
Yes. However, it must be said that the defence and tactics ahead of him are doing little to help his cause, with his goal constantly under siege by oppositions attacks this season.
Regardless, there have been too many basic errors from the shot-stopper in the opening seven games of the campaign. Teemu Pukki’s first goal in the defeat to Norwich, Sadio Mane’s goal against Liverpool, Jamie Vardy’s last weekend – these are just a few of his most glaring errors this term.
He, and his teammates, need to improve if Newcastle are going to avoid relegation back down to the second tier come the end of the season.
