Newcastle manager Steve Bruce is reportedly set to be given time to bed in his summer signings this season.

It certainly makes sense to at least give Steve Bruce a run of games with Andy Carroll and Allan Saint-Maximin fit, given their limited involvement so far this season.
If Bruce can get both of them into the side and start picking up more results, Newcastle could avoid relegation back down to the Championship. However, if they keep producing turgid performances then the board may have no option but to look at alternative ways of keeping the side in the division.
