Newcastle midfielder Jonjo Shelvey has been ruled out of the clash with Leicester on Sunday with a hamstring injury.
Shelvey is poised to miss the next two weeks after suffering a grade two tear on his hamstring, meaning that he will sit out of the game at The King Power.

Shelvey started in Newcastle’s last two games, against Liverpool and Brighton, and failed to make an impact during either match. He struggled to influence the game in midfield and was too easily bypassed by opposition players, leading to Newcastle being dominated for possession in both games.
His injury may allow Steve Bruce to throw Sean Longstaff back into the team. The midfielder has been out with an injury but recently returned to training and is fit to face Leicester this weekend. He could start in midfield alongside Isaac Hayden to provide a solid base for Newcastle to work from.
