# Newcastle fans react to potential takeover rumour

Peter Kenyon has reportedly launched an attempt to takeover Newcastle this week, through American investment fund GACP.

[Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11678/11820422/newcastle-united-takeover-peter-kenyon-launches-fresh-bid) report that he is looking to buy the club and has sent out a 46-page brochure in an attempt to attract investors.

### READ NEWCASTLE VERDICT

The brochure is questionable, given that two of the players front and centre on it have left the club and the Premier League badge is three years old. However, it has to be taken seriously if there is genuine interest in taking over the club.

If they prove that they have an exciting plan for the future of Newcastle and have the funds required to take it off Mike Ashley’s hands, it appears as though it would work for all parties involved. Although, there is no way of knowing if any of that is the case, given the legalities involved.

It is sure to take many months to iron any details out, even if the reports are genuine to begin with. This means that Newcastle fans should be wary of these reports and take them with a pinch of salt, for now.
