Newcastle have had a tough start to the Premier League season and are currently sat 17th in the table.
Steve Bruce’s side have won one of their opening six fixtures, which came away to Tottenham last month.
One player who has impressed, however, has been defender Fabian Schar – who scored in a 1-1 draw with Watford earlier in the season.

It must be said that, as of yet, there have been no reports linking Schar with a move away from the club in January, especially to Arsenal or for £30m. However, if he continues his excellent form it will not be surprising to see other clubs looking at him as a potential target.
Schar impressed last season, with his reading of the play in defence as well as his ability on the ball to beat the press and dribble out from the back to push Newcastle forward. Steve Bruce will be hoping that he can keep hold of Schar, given that he has been one of his best players so far.
