Newcastle have had some wonderful strikers over the course of the club’s history, including Premier League all-time top goalscorer Alan Shearer.
One forward who was superb during his time at the club was Senegalese striker Demba Ba.
The official Premier League Twitter account has chosen his volley for Newcastle against Reading as their goal of the day.

READ NEWCASTLE VERDICT
There is no doubting that Ba is one of the best strikers Newcastle have had in recent times, if not the best. He scored 29 goals in 44 Premier League appearances for the club, an incredible return before his move to Chelsea.
After signing from West Ham, Ba scored 16 in his first season and 12 before leaving in January of his second campaign. He was clinical in front of goal and the reaction to that strike sums up the thoughts of Newcastle fans years later, he is still adored.
