Unlucky…
Twitter: @MsiDouglas Shelvey’s been hopeless for years. Almiron has been unlucky. He needs good coaching and time, both sadly lacking. (@kicka11)
Joke…

Almiron as the number 10?
Twitter: @MsiDouglas Use him as a number 10 behind Joelinton! Have Atsu on the right and Maxim on the left.
If that doesn’t work then I know nowt. (@roykaviani)
Just lacking confidence…
Twitter: @MsiDouglas Almiron is just lacking confidence but Shelvey is lacking the motivation to run. Ki was better when he came on. (@dc_nufc_84)

Whilst these Newcastle fans appear set against Almiron being dropped, it could be of benefit to the midfielder. He has failed to make an impression in the Premier League over the past nine months and could do with a spell on the sidelines to take him out of the firing line.
If Allan Saint-Maximin is fit to start, Steve Bruce could throw him into the side and give Almiron some time to work hard on the training ground and improve his game before coming back in.
