Newcastle picked up a point at St. James’ Park on Saturday as they held Brighton to a 0-0 draw.
Brighton dominated the match in large spells, but Newcastle defended well and were able to come away with a point despite not playing to the best of their abilities.
One player, however, who came in for criticism was midfielder Jonjo Shelvey. These fans reacted to his performance against Brighton…

Shelvey struggled to make an impact in midfield against Brighton, much like he did against Liverpool and Norwich in his last two starts for the club in the Premier League.
He failed to impose himself on the match and was easily bypassed in midfield by Brighton’s impressive passing, often leaving Isaac Hayden to do two jobs at once in the holding role.
The former Liverpool and Swansea man will have to show much more in the coming games if he wants to keep his place in the side, with Sean Longstaff returning from injury.
