These Newcastle fans react to Saint-Maximin and Carroll returning

Newcastle manager Steve Bruce has revealed that Allan Saint-Maximin and Andy Carroll will both be in the squad for the clash against Brighton on Saturday.

The pair have been out injured in recent weeks, but are both poised to be named on the bench this weekend.

Should either of them be given a chance to start?

No. Both have had their injury problems in recent times and there is no need to risk aggravating any potential issues, as it could lead to them being out for a longer period of time.

Joelinton has shown flashes of quality in recent weeks, so there is no immediate need for Carroll to start. Saint-Maximin would be a good player to bring in from the start if he is fully fit, but going with Christian Atsu this weekend is the sensible call from Bruce – if that is what he does.
