# These Newcastle fans pass their judgement on Joelinton

Newcastle smashed their transfer record over the summer to bring Joelinton to England from Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga.

The Brazilian forward has scored once in four games so far, but did impress in spells against Liverpool in Newcastle’s 3-1 defeat last weekend.

After the game, Jurgen Klopp heaped praise on the Newcastle frontman – despite him failing to score.

### READ NEWCASTLE VERDICT

Joelinton has certainly shown some good signs in the opening weeks of the season, but lacked support up front. Miguel Almiron just hasn’t done enough on the ball in the final third to warrant his place in the team and Christian Atsu blows hot and cold.

The forward took his goal against Tottenham brilliantly, but chances have been few and far between for Newcastle as they struggle to break with pace and create any chances of note from open play with their defensive set-up.
