# Attacking midfielders Newcastle could look to sign in January

Newcastle have had a fairly average start to the Premier League season, with four points after five games.

Steve Bruce’s side have lost to Norwich, Arsenal and Liverpool, whilst beating Spurs and drawing with Watford to leave them 18th in the Premier League as it stands.

Considering the opposition they have had to face, four points is a decent – if unspectacular – return for Bruce after joining the club from Sheffield Wednesday over the summer.

[Reports have claimed](https://readnewcastle.com/2019/09/17/newcastle-to-have-25m-budget-in-january-where-should-they-strengthen/) that Bruce will be given £25m in January to further strengthen his squad in the transfer window.

Whilst we are still in September, work will already be underway as Newcastle look to scout their targets and decide who they will make moves for to bolster their ranks.

But, who could they go after? We have decided to take a look at some attacking midfielders/wingers Newcastle could look to sign in the window…
