Newcastle fans react to Bent’s criticism of Dubravka
Former Sunderland striker and current pundit Darren Bent has criticised Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka.
Bent says that Newcastle need their goalkeeper not to make schoolboy errors, after his mistake led to Sadio Mane making it 2-1 to Liverpool at Anfield.

There is no hiding away from Dubravka’s error on Saturday, but he went on to make several impressive saves to keep the scoreline down later in the game.
It’s easy to say that his error cost Newcastle the match, but the constant attacks they had before and after the goal suggests that there was little he could do to prevent Jurgen Klopp’s side eventually taking the lead.
Dubravka has been prone to the occasional error, although there are not many goalkeepers in the bottom half of the Premier League who aren’t. He more than makes up for it with his excellent shot-stopping, which makes criticism of him seem rather unjust.
