Newcastle United host Brighton at St James’ Park in the Premier League this weekend.

Steve Bruce’s side head into the game after losing three of their first five league matches, and it appears to be having an effect on attendances.

The club have announced that tickets have gone on general sale, after failing to sell out to members.

Regardless of what you think about Mike Ashley and the ownership of Newcastle, the players out on the pitch need the support of the fans.

If Newcastle are going to avoid relegation from the Premier League they are going to need the fans to drive them on and give them the extra 10% they need to get results under Steve Bruce.

Boycotting games is unlikely to change much, with gate receipts making up such a small percentage of a club’s income in this day and age.
