Do they deserve new deals?

Without a doubt. All three have been pivotal players for Newcastle in recent times and have under two years left on their current contracts, which means that securing their futures is an immediate concern for the club.
Schar has been a revelation since his move to Newcastle last summer, impressing at centre-back throughout last season and the current campaign, whilst Ritchie and Hayden are experienced players who have been at the club for several years.
Newcastle appear to be keen to tie down the core group of their squad as they look to build on their recent midtable seasons and attempt to push up the Premier League table.
